Warranty Policy

Warranty Services
RECARO Kids Malaysia provides product warranties for RECARO's child car seats and strollers to be free from manufacturing defects if products were purchased from RECARO or an authorized RECARO retailer/ dealers in Malaysia, for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. The purchaser is required to present warranty card and original proof of purchase document when service is required. 

Terms & Conditions
  1. The product warranty is extended to the original purchaser, excluding any products purchased through unauthorized retailers or dealers of RECARO, for which no warranties are made. 
  2. RECARO liability under this warranty is limited to repairing and/ or replacing manufacturing defective products only. The warranty does not cover any losses and damages caused directly or indirectly by the products.
  3. This warranty does not cover the cost of shipping and handling. 
  4. If the problem is not covered by this warranty, not within the warranty period, the consumer must pay for all related expenses associated with the services rendered.
  5. Warranty card is not transferable and not replaceable in the event of loss.
  6. Warranty will be void if the product is being operated without RECARO genuine or manufacturer warranties in any manner.
  7. This warranty is valid only in the original country of purchase.
  8. No person, by dealer/ company is authorized to change, modify or extend the terms of these warranties in any manner.
  9. RECARO reserves the right to provide repair or replacement components for products at its discretion.
  10. Decision by RECARO on all questions pertaining on complaints as results of defects, either workmanship or material shall be conclusive. 
  11. Under the following circumstances, parts and labour costs will be chargeable even during the warranty period. The warranty DOES NOT extend to the followings:
    • Normal wear and tear or damaged caused by negligence, lack of maintenance, abnormal operation or unreasonable use, damage while in transit, damage caused by the use of accessories or parts not manufactured by RECARO or components altered and/ or dissembled. 
    • Defect caused by fire, lightning, electrical disturbance, accidents and other natural disasters or due to deviation from recommended application and installation. 
    • Components parts which require replacement in the ordinary course of use due to normal wear, tear and aging by reasons of their characteristic, including accessories. E.g Tire wear and tear, faded colours fabrics, worn rubber materials, etc.
    • RECARO does not cover lost or stolen items/ parts. For missing items, there will be charges on the cost of parts and shipping of the parts that are missing.
    • The serial number/ model name of the product has been altered, tampered with or removed. 
    • The product has not been installed, maintained or operated in accordance with instruction given by manufacturer.
    • The product has undergone damages, repairs, modifications, or dismantles by any other person prior verification of approval by RECARO.
    • During the limited warranty period, product components such as parts, accessories or fabrics, may be discontinued or modified. This may result in replacement or repaired parts different from purchased model. For repair and replacement, there will be charges on the cost of parts and shipping of the parts that are damaged.
    • It is advisable not trying to dismantle or repair the defective product yourself or by any other unauthorized service agent, to avoid further damage to the product.
    • For product service, please send the defective product to your nearest RECARO authorized counters,  retailers, dealers or RECARO Product Service Center.
